Submit Statement on COVID-19 Impact on Arts & Culture to Senator José M. Serrano
On October 21, 2020, Senator José M. Serrano and his colleagues in the Senate Majority held a Virtual Roundtable about the impact of COVID-19 on artistic and cultural communities in New York.
Senator Serrano is now accepting written statements from cultural organizations highlighting the important contributions of our community to New York’s economic and cultural landscape, and sharing how they have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. These statements will be compiled into a report on the impact of COVID-19 on arts and culture in NYC, which will hopefully lead to policy recommendations.
We are calling on you to help amplify the devastating impact the pandemic has had on our arts in education community. If enough of our organizations share our stories, we hope we can inspire him to create policies around dedicated funds for arts education and mandated access to universal access to arts education for all New York students.
