Join us for a lively, community-based conversation on the importance and critical impact of arts education in New York City, hosted in collaboration by the Brooklyn Children’s Museum and the NYC Arts in Education Roundtable. This intimate discussion will offer a first-hand perspective on why arts are essential in catalyzing youth empowerment, forging supportive communities, and expanding social-emotional learning and growth. This live panel with Q&A will give a multidimensional look at arts in education in our schools and cultural organizations, featuring NYC youth panelists, an arts educator, and as a representative from City Council. The panelists include:

• Grey Lambert, NYC Public School Student
• Joshua Miller, NYC Public School Recent Graduate
• Elizabeth Kinkel, Visual Art Teacher, PS 26 The Jesse Owens School
