In this series of lessons, students will be invited to explore the world of poetry for performance. Each lesson can be done independently or as a series.

Each lesson includes a worksheet and PPT with embedded videos that include instruction. Due to file size of PPTs, they will have to be downloaded in order to be viewed.

About Elia Monte-Brown

Elia Monte-Brown, born and raised in New York City,  is a professional actor and certified teacher. She earned Master’s Degrees from both Yale University (MFA: Acting), and Pace (MS: Childhood Education). Most recently, she joined the faculty at NYU Tisch’s Experimental Wing as a Professor of Advanced Scene Study and devised and directed their Spring Show: Rituals for New Future. Elia is currently on teaching staff with Arts Connection, BAM, Lincoln Center Theatre, Manhattan Theatre Club and NYU Tisch. As an actor she has worked on more than twenty TV shows and films as well as performed on stage in NY, Regionally and Internationally.
