Teaching Artists– Proposals for paid Teaching Artist Salon Series

ATA presents the TA Salon Series for creative replenishment. Seeking Brooklyn based teaching artists to facilitate a series of 3 stand alone, online, creative workshops specifically for teaching artists. These workshops will be a chance for TAs to take off their teaching hats and focus on their own creativity as artists.

3 separate proposals will be chosen for the workshops. Artists will be notified by October 16th. Workshops to take place between late October and December 2020.

From each applicant, we are seeking proposals for: 1 stand alone, 2-hour online workshop (via Zoom) Each session should focus on facilitating a creative exercise/process for participants around the theme of “2020.”

Compensation: $625 (Independent Contractor). If any artists have proposals to team teach, please state that in your application. Questions? email Compensation includes:

  • Delivery of 2 hour online workshop session

  • Self directed planning

  • Attendance at between 1-2 online planning meetings with ATA staff

  • Workshop supplies

  • Written description of workshop session

  • Email/phone correspondence with ATA staff

  • Submitting Artist marketing materials such as websites/social media etc.

The TA Salon Series is made possible by funding from the Brooklyn Arts Council.
