Visual Arts and Dance Teaching Artists – Community-Based, Experienced

About Our Organization

Department for the Aging (DFTA) and Grandparent Resource Center (GRC) have implemented an onsite intergenerational arts workshop series at various New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) senior and youth centers locations. Utilizing the arts, internal and external teams are helping to build communication between generations and enhance family bonds in the most marginalized communities. Programming offered after school and on Saturdays.

Job Position Summary

Actively Recruiting:  Experienced Dance Teaching Artists

Locations: Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, Bronx

Dance Workshops: Latin, Afro-Caribbean, African and Hip Hop

Visual Arts Workshops: Painting, Jewelry Making, Mosaics and Scrapbook Making

Duration: 2 hours

Participants: Seniors and Youth

Background: Community Based

Pay: DOE
