PrimeLife Arts Learning (PAL) is a community for adults 55+ to learn about and make art and connect with family and friends through a user-friendly online platform. Participants across the US work with a national network of Teaching Artists who exhibit the best in Creative Aging.
Job Position Summary
Invitation for Applications: Technical Teaching Assistants for online courses for adults 55+
PrimeLife Arts Learning (PAL) invites people with on-line virtual teaching experience, and those interested in learning more about Creative Aging, to apply to support our online program.
PAL selects Technical Teaching Assistants who embody the following qualities:
- Interest in virtual Creative Aging teaching.
- A willingness to provide support and collaborate with others including Teaching Artists and administrators.
- A willingness to engage with participants to answer questions and provide other support as needed.
- Prior experience with digital learning platforms, such as LearnWorlds (highly recommended).
- Strong appreciation of the arts, including regular artist practice (preferred).
Compensation: The Technical Teaching Assistants pay is $35/hour. Training and planning time is also compensated.
Roles & Responsibilities
PAL Technical and Teaching Assistant responsibilities Include:
- Assist the lead Teaching Artist with in-class technical support, such as monitoring chats and questions from participants as they arise.
- Providing registration support and platform navigation for participants
- Prepare with the lead Teaching Artist prior to each session to identify particular technical needs.
- Informally engage with participants as they gather before each and after session.
