About Our Organization
CWP’s Teaching Artist Project, or TAP, is a collective of antiracist, diversely experienced, training, emerging and working arts educators and teaching artists who are looking for a supportive community to engage in a self-reflective, justice-oriented learning practice to enhance their teaching. TAP programs include a range of training offerings in New York City and beyond.
Job Position Summary
This is a collaborative role focused on administrative duties. The key responsibilities include administrative support for TAP’s Summer Institute program, TAP marketing & outreach, TAP data management, and TAP applicant enrollment. This position works closely with the TAP Co-Directors team and reports to the TAP Co-Director of Communications, Operations, & Facilitation. This is a part-time, 15 hour per week position that combines regular working hours to be established Monday – Friday during CWP office hours (9-6PM) and availability for regular weekend and evening programming as scheduled by the TAP team. Must have availability on Friday afternoons and July 18-22.

Workplace Type: Hybrid (employees are required to work on and off site)
CWP programming takes place in all five boroughs with concentrated programming in the Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan. TAP staff will travel to and from program sites as part of their work and should be able to travel by public transit.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Regular check-ins with TAP Co-Directors and DDPO
- Prep materials for TAP events and programs such as Summer Institute
- Support marketing and outreach for TAP’s core 8-month program
- Bringing materials to community spaces and orgs to advocate for our programming
- Draft email copy
- Generate draft email copy for TAP newsletters and other general TAP communication
- Participate in candidate material review and interviews for TAP programs
- Support TAP program planning and follow-up logistics
- Updating the marketing contact sheet
- identifying and booking program spaces
- submitting and tracking invoices for vendor payments
- ordering supplies
- adding events to shared calendars
- During programs, support space set up and clean up, communication with spaces and participants as applicable, food and beverage delivery/pick-up, etc..
- When available, attend regular CWP office meetings
- Communicate efficiently and professionally with CWP Staff and trainees
- Submit biweekly timesheets by the due dates listed in the pay period schedule
Qualifications:
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Strong understanding of Teaching Artistry & Arts Education
- Experience and comfort using Google Suite products (such as Google Drive, Docs, and Sheets), Zoom, and 3rd party mail services (e.g. Mailchimp).
- Strong collaboration skills
- Experience as a theater,visual arts, movement, and/or dance artist a plus but not required.
- Experience using Salesforce or similar data management tools is a plus but not required.
- Commitment to and experience with grass roots organizations
- Strong content knowledge as an artist in your discipline
- Commitment to serving and learning from young people in the New York City area
- Commitment to incorporating anti-racist and social justice practices into your teaching, collaboration, and communication
- Ability to speak and write in Spanish, Mandarin, French, and/or Arabic a plus but not required.
Physical Demands include:
- Operate a computer and other office productivity machinery to collaborate, organize, communicate
- Traveling with program supplies for in-person programs
Important Dates:

- First round individual interviews will be held virtually between April 3rd-7th, 2023 with group interviews to follow between April 17th and 21st, 2023.
