Job Position Summary
Hours/Rate: (IN-PERSON)
- School Year – mid-October – mid-June: part-time (25 hrs/wk at $18/hr)
○ Mondays: 2PM-6PM, Tuesdays: 4PM-7PM (hours flexible), Wednesdays: 3PM-6PM, Fridays: 2PM-5PM (hours flexible), and Saturdays: 9AM-4PM
- Summer – July – August: full-time (40 hrs/wk at $18/hr)
○ Monday – Friday, 9:30AM-5:30PM
Reports to: Director of Education and Associate Director of Education
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all onsite classes, camps, workshops, and open houses (e.g., opening and closing the building, check-in & check-out, complete daily onsite reports, manage students and parent questions/issues, lobby maintenance and safety, etc.)
- Oversee Education Department phone, voicemail, and email which includes all correspondence with families regarding onsite class, camp, and workshop information
- Handle comments/concerns from onsite programming parents
- Oversee and prep all onsite classes, camps, workshops, and open houses (e.g., emails, attendance sheet, health forms, certificates, final performance videos, etc.)
- Manage, monitor, and oversee all registrations, temporary contacts, refunds, waitlists, cancellations, credits, etc.
- Assist Associate Director of Education with Arts for All and financial aid for onsite classes, camps, and workshops
- Oversee Teaching Assistant program (e.g., post job descriptions, interview, hire, train, manage, etc.)
- Create Salesforce & C&P build for all onsite programs, and discount codes
- With Education Staff, assist with creating and revising education department paperwork for the new fiscal year
- Teaching Artist Payroll
- Various administrative tasks (e.g., maintain TA contact sheet & emails, oversee auction requests & gift certificates, order department supplies, schedule piano tuning, maintain department google calendar, run errands, weekly financial reports, etc.)
- Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Education and Associate Director of Education that support the smooth operation of the department
Qualifications:
- Deep appreciation and enthusiasm for the organization’s mission, vision, and values
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in arts administration
- Experience as a Teaching Artist or arts educator
- Outstanding interpersonal skills as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
- Customer service oriented and committed to closing loops and getting answers
- Strong listening skills, compassion and intercultural sensitivity towards people of various identity markers and life experiences
- An ability to handle multiple deadlines, manage competing priorities, be proactive, and work effectively with a sense of humor
- An empathetic listener and solution-oriented problem solver
- Willingness to continuously challenge norms and embrace new ideas and ways of working
- Detail oriented and organized
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and Zoom; familiarity with Salesforce a plus
- A commitment and deep interest in diversity, equity and inclusion in all aspects of TADA!’s programming and initiatives
