Youth Theater’s mission since 1984 has been to provide young people from different social, racial, economic, and cultural backgrounds with musical theater programs that inspire them to learn, be creative, and think differently through high-quality productions, positive youth development, and education programs.
Job Position Summary
Roles & Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Support TADA!’s Teaching Artists (Director/Choreographer & Music Director) in facilitating camp activities and fostering a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
- Encourage active student participation by modeling enthusiastic participation in singing, dancing, and other camp activities.
- Lead theater games + arts & crafts activities during camp and aftercare.
- Supervise aftercare, student check in and/or check out, as well as bathroom trips & snack/lunch/water breaks, to ensure student safety and smooth transitions
- Support camp administrative needs (typing/copying scripts & camp performance programs, etc.)
- Assist with space & supply preparation & clean-up.
- Clearly & graciously communicate with caregivers, students, and staff, addressing concerns/needs
- Assist with additional departmental duties as assigned by the Director of Education & Education Managers
