Brooklyn Play 2 Learn is a dynamic and growing educational organization dedicated to inspiring a love of math in young children through hands-on, play-based enrichment programs. We partner with local schools and play spaces to offer high-quality, engaging, and developmentally appropriate instruction.

Job Position Summary

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Part-Time Math Teacher to lead engaging, play-based math enrichment sessions for Kindergarten/1st grade students in after school enrichment classes at local Brooklyn schools.

  • Thursday afternoons (approx. 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM)
  • Additional days optional in the fall (flexible based on availability)

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead small group math after school classes designed to build foundational math skills through read-alouds, games, and hands-on activities
  • Implement engaging weekly lesson plans provided by the Brooklyn Play 2 Learn team and collaborate with the Brooklyn Play 2 Learn team to differentiate according to students’ needs
  • Foster a fun, safe, and supportive learning environment
  • Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive and respectful atmosphere
  • Follow and respect each school’s rules, guidelines, and expectations while on-site
