BRAC is a 37-year-old community-based multi-arts organization located in the heart of The Bronx in West Farms Square. BRAC offers four programs serving the vibrant, and underserved community in the south-central section of the Bronx and the larger cultural community of New York City:
- Free after-school education programs in the visual arts and fee-based art classes for youth, adults and families.
- A diverse series of contemporary art exhibitions in a storefront gallery.
- A studio program for professional artists.
- A multi-disciplinary performance program.

Job Position Summary
The Bronx River Art Center (BRAC) is seeking a passionate School-Based Art Educator for an immersive, hands-on experience in a NYC public elementary school (PreK-5th grade). This part-time, 13-week, project-based role (March 24 – June 2025) offers support in lesson planning and classroom management.
Role Options:
- One Day/Week: Tuesday (10:10 am – 2:15 pm) or Thursday (8:00 am – 2:15 pm)
- Both Days/Week: Tuesday & Thursday
Roles & Responsibilities
Teach engaging art lessons, adapt plans for different age groups, and collaborate with staff.
