Program Assistant

Art on the Block NYC

About Our Organization

Art on the Block NYC was established with the dual purpose of making art more accessible to the public and offering practicing artists a venue to create and display their artwork. Art on the Block NYC offers artists a short-term residency opportunity in a NYC storefront during which they will transform the space into their studio, exhibition space, and public programming venue. The artist will be on-site during the entire residency (during business hours) working so that community members can walk in and engage with a working artist. Additionally, the artist will facilitate free art-making programs for youth, families, and adults.
