About Our Organization

The Principal Fellows Program is a groundbreaking initiative by the New York City Public School’s Arts Office, designed to support school leaders in addressing educational challenges with arts-focused solutions through the creation and implementation of individualized Arts Plans.

Piloted in Spring 2023 with 22 principals, the program expanded to serve more than 100 additional principals in the 2023-24 school year. In 2024-2025, the program will expand again to meet the needs of 75+ additional principals.

Job Position Summary

Principal Fellows Implementation Specialists will work alongside Arts Office staff in supporting a cohort of participating principals.

We are looking to fill several positions. Approximately one per borough within NYC.

Roles & Responsibilities

Principal Fellows Implementation Specialists may be asked to:

  • Participate in and/or lead virtual and in-person meetings with Arts Office and school staff.
  • Maintain regular email communication with the Arts Office, school leaders, and cultural partners.
  • Gather information and tracking progress related to the school’s Arts Plan implementation.
  • Organize professional learning opportunities.
  • Etc.

Your expertise in NYC public schools, arts integration, and professional development will play a vital role in this initiative.

The position will be from Sept. – June 30th for full-time consultants.
