LCT’s Education Department is seeking highly-skilled and engaging teaching artists for part-time work in the High School and Shakespeare Programs for the 2024-2025 school year.

Job Position Summary

Teaching artists work with Education staff to design and implement theater-based arts residencies in NYC public middle and high schools.

LCT is looking for teaching artists for two of our school programs: the High School Program and the Shakespeare Program.

In the High School Program (HIGH), teaching artists teach four pre- and post-show theater-based workshops from a common curriculum that enable students to see LCT performances with a deeper understanding of that play’s themes and theatrical vocabulary.

With the Shakespeare Program (SHAX), teaching artists strive to make students’ engagement with, and exploration of Shakespeare works playful, accessible, and relevant within the framework of a 10-session in-school residency.

Depending on their expertise and availability, several of our teaching artists work for more than one program.
