About Our Organization

Established in 1985, SEA (Society of the Educational Arts, Inc.), is the premiere Bilingual Arts-in-Education Organization and Latino Theatre for Young Audiences in the United States. SEA has created and produced a combination of educational theatre productions and art workshops/programs specifically designed to examine, challenge and create possible solutions for current educational, social and community issues. Its internationally celebrated programs include school, outdoor, community and main stage performances, workshops and residencies, among others, reaching over 75,000 children and young adults every year. The organization, established by Dr. Manuel A. Morán, currently has offices in San Juan, New York, and Florida. Teatro SEA has its performance space at the Clemente Soto Vélez Cultural and Educational Center on Manhattan’s Lower East Side.

Job Position Summary

We’re looking for a creative and outgoing Outreach & Sales Associate to connect Teatro SEA’s programming with schools, community groups, and audiences across NYC. This person will promote shows and residencies, manage group bookings, build partnerships, and help spread the joy of bilingual theater for young audiences.

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate and promote school group visits and ticket sales
  • Build relationships with community partners and educators
  • Represent SEA at school fairs, events, and outreach initiatives
  • Support marketing and email campaigns
  • Assist with reservations, client communication, and database updates
  • Contribute to audience engagement and festival outreach

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Experience in sales, community outreach, or arts administration
  • Organized, people-oriented, and self-motivated
  • Passion for arts and education a must
