Job Position Summary

The Education & Community Engagement Department is seeking multi-hyphenate artists specializing in Music Direction & Composition. Work includes facilitation of our various theater workshops & residencies; accompaniment, musical devising and coaching.

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Facilitating In-School Workshops & Residencies serving all five boroughs
  • Facilitating In-Person Workshops & Residencies for City Center’s Community Engagement programs
  • Curriculum development in collaboration with fellow teaching artists, classroom teachers and/or community partners.
  • Serve as a representative of City Center in NYC schools and communities

This Role Requires:

  • Minimum of 3 years teaching experience
  • Experience working in public schools and/or community settings
  • Experience developing curriculum
  • A flexible weekday schedule between 8am-3pm for in-school programs and/or flexibility for evenings and weekends for community programs
