Mind-Builders Creative Arts Center, a multi-discipline creative arts organization located in the Northeast Bronx, is seeking an experienced dance teacher equally versed in Hip Hop and African technique to facilitate weekly classes for Beg and Intermediate level students between ages 6 – 14 years old.

Job Position Summary

Roles & Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be available to teach class on Saturday mornings/early afternoons. In addition to conducting rigorous classes, teachers are expected to submit lesson plans based on Mind-Builders curriculum, attend monthly faculty meetings, prepare bi-annual progress reports and prepare students to perform in the annual Dance recital.

Qualifications:

Qualified teachers must have at least 4 years of experience working in a structured studio setting with youth ages 6 -14 years old and able to deliver in a nurturing and empowering way, a class that is rigorous and exciting.  The hourly rate range is $60 – $75 commensurate with experience.
