Job Position Summary

Serve as an Education Specialist responsible for developing, coordinating, promoting, and delivering content and programs to all audiences of all ages at one or more levels of immersion. The responsibilities include planning, promotion, outreach, facilitation, research, content development, evaluation and liaising with multiple stakeholders in program development and implementation. Report to the Director of Learning and Audience Engagement.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

Summary of Duties:

  • Develops, evaluates, and delivers education experiences, including activities, programs, and products for audiences of all ages and level of competency in design.
  • Responsible for development and assists with conceptualizing programs and activities, design, development, testing and evaluation.
  • Oversees or collaborates with peers in the writing of content and resource materials used in on-site, off-site programming and digital platforms.
  • Responsible for actively striving to stay abreast with the trends in design and design education.
  • Maintains supportive relationships with various organizations for the purposes of professional development, outreach, partnerships, and reputation building.
  • Responsible for as assigned, on working groups or other committees which develop dynamic learning activities, programs, and/or products, such as exhibitions, citizen science projects, and web- and social media-based programming.
  • Oversees as required the training and work of volunteers, education associates, interns, and contractors for programs, ensuring that all programs/initiatives are delivered at a high quality.
