Job Position Summary

A Drama Therapist (LCAT) or Drama Educaor to be a Lead Instructor for an interactive educational program in the Bronx with youth (ages 12-14). Drama therapist will lead classes on-site (1x a week, @ 8-10weeks). The job requires skills to; prepare class agenda, present creative acting activities to guide youth performance, compose drama exercises, evaluate goals and objectives, and demonstrate empathy, compassion and equanimity.

Candidate will collaborate as part of a team including teachers, guest artists, and staff from LHI and collaborating organizations;

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in drama therapy with a specialization in drama education or master’s in drama education; at least two years of experience. New York City DOE fingerprinting clearance

Additional Qualifications: Licensed as a Creative Arts Therapist, accredited by the North American Drama Therapy Association or another acceptable accrediting agency.
