About Our Organization
The mission of the Arts Office (AO) is to support the arts aspirations of all NYCPS students and to ensure that we are continuously expanding our reach in support of all schools, especially those that have not historically received direct support from our office. We do this by (a) Supporting principals to incorporate the arts into schools’ core instructional mission and school wide SEL practices, and (b) Build teachers’ knowledge and capacity around effective pedagogical practices based on the Blueprint for Teaching and Learning in the Arts.
Job Position Summary
Part-time
Remote: Monday – Friday, flexible hours from 9am – 5pm
20 hrs/week
January 2024 – June 2024
Salary: $25,000
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree
The Arts Partnerships Manager will support four projects within the Arts Partnerships Portfolio:
- Grants: Arts Partnerships Grants and Support for Arts Instruction
- Arts and Cultural Education Services (ACES) Fair
- Arts and Cultural Education Services (ACES) Guide
- ArtsHub in Bloom
The Arts Partnerships Manager will need to acquire a DOE Vendor ID which will take 2 -3 weeks to process.
Roles & Responsibilities
Arts Partnerships Grants/Support for Arts Instruction Grants – $12,000
- Arts Partnerships Grants
- Support the design and restructuring of Arts Partnerships Grants – Arts for Multilingual Learners (MLL) and Students with Disabilities (SWD) and Arts and Family Engagement Grants
- Edit and revise Request for Proposals for Arts Partnerships Grants
- Create grant applications in survey platform – Survey Monkey/Cvent experience preferred
- Support Recipient Information Session
- Support for Arts Instruction (City Council)
- In collaboration with the New York City Arts in Education Roundtable, support and attend two, virtual grant information sessions for Support for Arts Instruction recipients
- All Grant Portfolios:
- Develop site visit schedule for Arts Office, New York City Arts in Education Roundtable and City Council members
- Administer grant report surveys for all grant portfolios, ensuring follow-up with missing recipients
- Co-write communications for grant recipients and corresponding arts partners
- Co-write Grantee Report for ARTS Office, New York City Arts in Education Roundtable and City Council
Arts and Cultural Education Services Fair (ACES) Fair – $3,000
- Secure purchase orders and payment for participating vendors
- Liaise with the host venue and participating arts partner organizations via email/phone call as needed
- Assist with set-up, Run of Show and breakdown of the event
- Co-create the intake and post – event survey
Arts and Cultural Education Services (ACES) Guide – $7,000
- Manage the process for uploading, submitting and publishing entries to the ACES Guide
- Collaborate with Nagarro and DIIT to update the ACES Guide template for production
- Create process and timeline for arts education service providers to submit entries
- Respond to inquiries from arts partners and schools regarding ACES Guide navigation and entries
ArtsHUB in Bloom (pending) – $3,000
- Manage inquiries from participating arts partner organizations and New York City Public Schools staff
- Assist with set-up, Run of Show and breakdown of the event
- Co-write communications for the event
