In this workshop, attendees will explore the growing need to have crisis management tools in their teaching tool box. Through activities, presentations, and discussions, attendees will begin to learn the framework and necessary steps to handle a participant crisis. They will also explore how to manage vicarious trauma as arts educators and administrators supporting arts in trauma-informed youth and community programming to become advocates of this work in each of their organizations. This exploration will be guided by current relevant research and data as well as facilitated in support by an Art Therapist.
Three hours of New York State CTLE credit will be available for attendance.
