The NYC Arts in Education Roundtable is thrilled to host Tribeworks, Creatives Care, Entertainment Community Fund, Grantmakers in the Arts, and Steady for a week of virtual programming on insurance, healthcare, and mental health resources for independent workers in the arts and culture field.

At our April 2023 Town Hall at Face to Face, we heard from community members that information about and access to insurance was a top challenge faced by our community. In an effort to provide resources and information on this essential topic, we hope you will join the Roundtable for this full week dedicated to pulling back the curtain on insurance options and care initiatives for arts and culture workers.

During this week, we will learn about cooperatives offering a collective care model, opportunities for artists to find affordable mental health care, demystifying and navigating the insurance system in NY state, current advocacy efforts related to portable benefits, and more.

About the Workshops

Workshops will take place Monday, November 27, 2023 to Friday, December 1, 2023. Registrants for the Take Care! series will receive access and reminders for ALL sessions and do not need to select individual workshops to attend.

Join us for this virtual, free series with collaborators from Tribeworks, Creatives Care, Entertainment Community Fund, Grantmakers in the Arts, and Steady!

Presenting organizations will be sharing their own materials, information, and opportunities in this series. The inclusion of content by these organizations in the Take Care! series does not constitute an endorsement by the Roundtable of the organizations’ or individuals’ views.
