The NYC Arts in Education Roundtable, along with elected officials, artists, educators, students, cultural workers, and parents will gather to advocate for universal, equitable access to arts education in all NYC schools and communities.

Dance, music, theater, visual arts, and media arts provide evidence-based solutions for engaging the whole child. Arts education nurtures social-emotional wellnessimproves academic outcomes in the classroom, prepares students to enter the workforce, and increases parent involvement and attendance rates. Yet today these opportunities are available to only some of NYC’s 1 million students.

Our voices are stronger together! Help us call on the Mayor and City Council to include vital arts education funding in this year’s budget: to support our students, our workforce, and our great city. We need all of New York City to know that it starts with the arts!

First 50 attendees will receive a FREE t-shirt featuring our It Starts With the Arts logo!

Meeting Location

***MEETUP LOCATION CHANGE*** We will now meet at the entrance to City Hall Park located at the intersection of Broadway and Park Place. Click here for a Google Maps link. Representatives in our t-shirts with It Starts With the Arts signs will be at the park entrance to direct you to the rally point just inside the park.
