On Thursday, April 7th at 11am, the NYC Arts in Education Roundtable, along with elected officials, teachers, advocates, and students will call on the City to boost funding for arts education in schools in this upcoming budget.

As the New York City Department of Education makes its way out of the COVID pandemic and tackles the mandate to support student well-being and success, we believe that transforming our city’s schools starts with the arts — by funding a strong, equitable foundation for arts in all schools. That foundation should include targeted support for sequential arts learning and broadened access to the array of programs reflecting New York City’s vast and diverse cultural riches.

***LOCATION CHANGE — THIS EVENT IS NOW BEING HELD VIRTUALLY! Those who already registered will receive a Zoom link by Wednesday, April 6. We apologize for any inconvenience.***

We hope you and your colleagues can join us in support of this important cause. Please don’t hesitate to email Executive Director, Kimberly Olsen at kolsen@nycaieroundtable.org with any questions.
