About Amy Harris

A native of Minnesota, Amy’s work as an administrator, teaching artist, and grant writer has afforded her opportunities to work from coast to coast. In Summer 2019, she began her own consulting business serving as a grant writer as well as providing support for arts education events and MTAC application submissions. Previously, she served three years as the Director of Education and Engagement at Primary Stages and prior to that she spent a dozen years as the Assistant Education Director/Coordinator of the Paul A. Kaplan Theatre Management Program at Manhattan Theatre Club. She counts herself fortunate to have held positions at the Seattle Children’s Theatre and Book-It Repertory Theatre in Seattle, and The Shakespeare Theatre and Woolly Mammoth Theatre in Washington, D.C. Amy joined the panels committee for the Roundtable’s annual Face to Face Conference in 2003 and became a Co-Chair for the event in 2014. For fifteen years Amy has specialized in workforce engagement and acted as both a panelist and moderator discussing best practices for internship programs at A.R.T./New York, the American Theatre Wing, and New York University. Amy holds a BA in Performing Arts from Washington University in St. Louis and an MA in Theatre Education from New York University.
