Join facilitator Jennifer Stengel-Mohr for a six-session cohort learning series diving into three key principles for working with Multilingual Learners: Awareness, Amplification, and Accommodation.
Over the course these two-hour workshop sessions, participants will build a better understanding of the Multilingual Learner population and address the needed scaffolds and supports that enhance practice for maximum comprehension and increased participation in the art-making space. All of the information presented in the sessions will be applied in a meaningful way to the arts experience across multiple art forms. Participants will be expected to engage in hands-on learning and build collective funds of knowledge for pedagogical practice.
Program capacity has been set to a maximum of 40 participants for this cohort to allow for increased peer exchange and a more individualized learning experience. Participants will be given a stipend of $150 for their time. To help us select participants for this learning community, we kindly ask that you complete a brief application by Monday, November 21, 2022 at 6:00pm ET. Participants will be selected and notified by Friday, December 19, 2022.
