Attention Roundtable Members! Join us for this ongoing monthly informal open space with arts education leaders across New York City, hosted by the NYC Arts in Education Roundtable. Connect with other leaders in the field to share information and resources, problem solve, and spark collaboration.

The Roundtable is thrilled to continue hosting our virtual Arts Education Leaders Open Space, which is held from 10:00 – 11:00am ET on the second Thursday every month. Frequent discussion topics include fingerprinting, contracting with city agencies, program development, field trips, hiring practices, and more.

This open space is for Roundtable members who are arts education leaders and administrators to come together and share questions, challenges, and successes. Upon registering, a Zoom link will be provided in a registration confirmation email and you will receive a follow-up calendar invitation before the next scheduled open meeting space.

2024-2025 Open Space Dates

The Arts Education Leaders Open Spaces are held on the second Thursday of every month from 10-11am unless otherwise communicated. (There is no session the month of April.) The following is the schedule for 2024-2025:

Do I have to attend every session / the full hour?

This flexible space welcomes Roundtable members on a come and go basis. You can float in and out during the hour, and you can attend one month and not the next. The registration link signs you up for the recurring event so no need to re-register every month.

How are you defining an “Arts Education Leader”?

We encourage arts education administrators at any level of an organization to join this open space. This is not a “Directors Only” space as we believe practitioners serve in leadership capacities regardless of title.

Can we only send one person per organization?

No, multiple people per organization can absolutely join this open space.

I’m a teaching artist, may I join this space?

At this time, this open space is exclusively for administrators.

How do I know if I’m a member of the Roundtable?
