The NYC Arts in Education Roundtable Elects Two New Board Members

NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Arts in Education Roundtable is pleased to announce the election of two new members to the Board of Directors: Nancy Kleaver and Jolene Wang.

Board Co-Chair Traci Lester welcomes newly elected Board Members, “We are excited to welcome Nancy and Jolene to the NYCAIER Board of Directors. During this unprecedented time when the arts education sector is fighting for its survival, bringing these two experienced leaders onto the Board is a vital step in the organization’s ongoing growth and sustainability.”

“We’re thrilled to welcome Nancy and Jolene to the NYC Arts in Education Roundtable’s Board of Directors,” says Kimberly Olsen, Executive Director of the Roundtable. “Their expertise will be instrumental as we continue our mission to enhance and advocate for arts education throughout New York City and beyond, fostering greater equity and serving the arts education community with renewed energy.”

With gratitude and admiration, the Roundtable also said farewell to Board Member Amy Harris who completed their board term as of June 30, 2025. We thank Amy for her leadership, organizational support, and dedicated service.

Meet Our New Board Members

Nancy Kleaver

Nancy Kleaver is a nonprofit consultant with over 25 years of leadership experience specializing in board and staff development, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic partnerships. As founder of Kleaver Consulting and former executive, Nancy has guided numerous organizations through transformational change while working alongside stakeholders of all kinds to move forward big ideas that make the world more just, kind, and beautiful.

Nancy’s approach combines big-picture strategy with hands-on execution and people-first management. Her collaborative leadership style has resulted in measurable impacts across the arts education field, including expanding and diversifying boards, securing significant funding increases, and scaling innovative programs from local to national implementation.

Jolene Wang

Jolene L. Wang is Counsel at Ropes & Gray LLP.  She is an accomplished trial lawyer with a practice focused on patent, trademark, and copyright infringement, trade secret misappropriation, and contract disputes in federal courts and before administrative agencies including the International Trade Commission and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board across a wide range of industries and technologies.  Jolene advises clients on a broad range of intellectual property issues, including enforcement, licensing, and litigation strategies.  She also maintains a diverse pro bono practice assisting individual artists in protecting their intellectual property rights and representing asylum-seekers, victims of judicial override in death penalty cases, and survivors of child sex trafficking in federal civil matters alleging violations of federal and state trafficking laws.
