Announcing 2024-2025 Support for Arts Instruction Initiative Schools

The NYC Arts in Education Roundtable is proud to announce that earlier this month 239 NYC public schools were each awarded funding via the Support for Arts Instruction Citywide initiative created by the New York City Council, Mayor Eric Adams, New York City Public Schools, and the NYC Arts in Education Roundtable.

This $4M citywide initiative demonstrates a commitment from the City Council to finding a path to ensure that all New York City schools can provide every student with a rich, diverse arts education experience.

Awarded schools received $16,527-$16,528 to support partnerships with cultural organizations, arts-based field trips, arts-rooted professional development, and the purchase of materials and supplies for standards-based arts learning activities. For more information on this year’s initiative (including the list of funded schools), please visit the School Allocation Memo linked and scroll to the “City Council Arts Education Priority Buckets” section.

Funding for this $4 million citywide initiative is provided by the New York City Council in partnership with Mayor Eric Adams.
