Nancy Kleaver

Nancy Kleaver is a nonprofit consultant with over 25 years of leadership experience specializing in board and staff development, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic partnerships. As founder of Kleaver Consulting and former executive, Nancy has guided numerous organizations through transformational change while working alongside stakeholders of all kinds to move forward big ideas that make the world more just, kind, and beautiful.

Nancy’s approach combines big-picture strategy with hands-on execution and people-first management. Her collaborative leadership style has resulted in measurable impacts across the arts education field, including expanding and diversifying boards, securing significant funding increases, and scaling innovative programs from local to national implementation. 

At Dancing Classrooms, Nancy led a comprehensive organizational turnaround that embedded inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility into every aspect of the organization and established financial security, emerging from the pandemic more resilient and responsive. Previously, she oversaw Lincoln Center’s education and community engagement division, launching partnerships among Lincoln Center resident companies and across the five boroughs that created access to world class arts experiences for thousands of New Yorkers. 

She holds a Masters in Public Administration from Baruch College and has completed specialized coursework at Harvard Graduate School of Education, Bank Street College, and the International End of Life Doula Association.

A passionate advocate for progressive issues, outside of her professional work Nancy also contributes to her community by volunteering at Sunnyside & Woodside Mutual Aid, as a Board Director of the Harlem Dowling Westside Center, and as a member of the Women’s Leadership Council, Community Resource Exchange’s AI for Nonprofit Working Group, and The New Majority NYC.
