Alexandra López is a Colombian-American theater artist and educator.
As Associate Director of Education at Lincoln Center Theater, Alexandra devises and implements performance-based curriculum for NYC students and professional development workshops for teachers and teaching artists. She administers the High School Program, the Shakespeare Program, and the Songwriting in the Schools Program and supports the Learning English and Drama (LEAD) Project.
Previously, Alexandra worked with the Creative Arts Team as a Van Lier fellow teaching artist, then as the administrator for the CAT Youth Theater, and finally as the Coordinator of the Paul A. Kaplan Center for Educational Drama where she administered graduate level courses for New York University students and NYC teachers. She also produced the New York City Student Shakespeare Festival from its founding to 2005.
Alexandra has worked as a teaching artist for NJPAC and the Wolf Trap Institute with students in New York and New Jersey and as a drama teacher and theater director at The Brearley School and the Bank Street School for Children. Alexandra serves on the board of the Childrens Theatre Foundation of America and is a board member of the NYC Arts in Education Roundtable and co-chair of the 2025 Face to Face conference.
