We are THE hub for NYC’s Arts Educators.

Galvanized by the impact of COVID-19 on the sector, the Roundtable has worked around the clock for the past 20 months to support an essential workforce of nearly 10,000 teaching artists, educators, artists, and cultural workers.

Our advocacy tools, coalition building, and legislative briefings connected stakeholders with government leaders and saw $70M in federal stimulus funding being directed to arts learning. Your donation will help us advocate to keep this essential funding in place for school years to come.

Relief Fund

We awarded $673,500 in emergency grants to unemployed or furloughed teaching artists in 2021, helping them make rent, pay for groceries, and continue to practice their craft. Your support will help us administer a third cycle of relief funding in 2022, totaling nearly $1M in direct relief funding.

Black Women's Advancement

In response to the racial reckoning movement and in line with our city-wide campaign, “Rebuild, Reconcile, Reimagine: A List of Demands for Centering Black Women’s Leadership in Arts Education,” we hosted our first annual three-day Black Women’s Wellness Retreat for 40 Black women featuring community-building, healing activities, and workshops. We look forward to growing this yearly event with your help!

Professional Learning

2021 saw a 152% increase in the number of educators and artists attending our monthly workforce training and discussions. Help us continue to equip arts educators to meet the moment and support their students.

88% of Roundtable members surveyed, told us our Networking and Mentorship opportunities are the top two things they rely on us for. Inspired by this response and in line with our strategic plan, we are thrilled to launch the first ever New York State Teaching Artist Mentorship Program this winter. Make an impact and support artist career advancement by making a donation today.
