David King

David King is an interdisciplinary artist and facilitator whose advocacy lives at the intersection of the arts, education, and social justice. He is committed to youth development and cultural equity guided by anti-racist principles. He is a born and raised New Yorker from the ancestral lands of the Munsee Lenape, Canarsie and Matinecock peoples. He sits on the Board of Directors at the NYC Arts in Education Roundtable and serves as Advocacy Committee Co-Chair. He is the Program Director of School & Community Partnerships at Community-Word Project.He is a member of Actors’ Equity Association, Creating New Futures and Artists Co-creating Real Equity (ACRE). He is Co-Founder of The Seven Collective, a NYC-based artist collective. He is an Innovative Cultural Advocacy Fellow with The Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute (CCCADI).
