Teen Program Director The role of the POWRPLNT Teen Program Director is to organize and implement the Free Teen Programs. This can be after school programs, sequential courses, or teen activations and art shows. The Program Director is responsible for designing programs that align with the POWRPLNT mission of providing teens access to tech/design skills that may further their artistic, entrepreneurial, or professional goals. The Teen Program Director works with the Executive Director and the POWRPLNT team to create programs that are viable and engaging. The Program Director is responsible for finding competent, kind and diverse instructors for the courses.The Teen Program Director organizes the materials to assist in the outreach efforts to assure attendance. The Teen Program Director is responsible for creating print materials and resources for the outreach manager to distribute. The Teen Program Director should be culturally astute to the neighborhood and understand the pressures and demands relevant to young people today. The first task will be to develop our summer program. The Teen Program Director is responsible for documenting and collecting data on who our projects serve and how successful the program was and may suggest any pivots for future programming. The ideal model to be created will be able to be replicated and filled seasonally. Teen Program Director is responsible for communication with Instructors and POWRPLNT team for optimal activation of resources. Teen Program Director is responsible for constructing a viable budget and action plan coordinating with the Executive Director. Requirements: 2+ Years experience working in youth focused non-profits Photoshop and design skills encouraged People skills and outgoing personality Ability to organize and lead teams Strong emailing and communication skills Desire to grow within an organization Positive relationships or awareness of other teen programs in New York Experience with DOE encouraged Ability to take initiative and ownership of the program
