Teaching Artist Job Description The Noel Pointer Foundation is seeking a skilled Teaching Artist-Violin .
Experience teaching beginner – advanced level violin and music theory students in a private and group lesson setting.
Write and implement lesson plans.
Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
Knowledgeable of classical and contemporary repertoire from beginner to advanced levels
Prepare students for concerts, recitals, community performances & auditions.
Attend TA orientation sessions and regularly scheduled staff meetings.
Adjudicate disciplinary and other problems
Great communication skills with colleagues, parents, and students.
Requirements Position to begin immediately * 2+ years of prior experience teaching in a public school setting or after school program * Experience teaching music in a group setting, K-12 * Teachers working in school are subject to PETS Department of Education fingerprint screening Possess a passion for teaching children * Must be creative and have the ability to think outside the box * Must have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude; willing to go above and beyond * Ability to motivate students and share their enthusiasm for learning * Bachelors or Masters in Music or Music Education
